(London).- United Kingdom-based organisation Excel Esports has hired Grant Rousseau as its Head of Operations.

Rousseau will oversee the development of Excel Esports’ processes and operations on both the performance side and organisationally.
Rousseau spoke to Esports Insider about his new venture: “I’m extremely excited to be joining Excel. The opportunity to work on and improve a UK focused Esports org has always been an ambition of mine, in order to help further raise the validity of UK Esports as a whole. Excel as a whole have some fantastic plans and goals moving ahead, and I cannot wait for us to work together.”
Prior to joining Excel Esports, Rousseau worked at Splyce and OverActive Media – the company that acquired the organisation in November last year. He held a number of roles during his tenure there, including European Operations Manager, Director of Operations, and Director of Team Operations. He also has experience as a Team Manager for the likes of Counter Logic Gaming.
Joel Holmes-Darby, COO of Excel Esports also commented to Esports Insider: “Grant is an outstanding hire for our company. He brings with him a wealth of operational experience in esports and joins us at a crucial stage in our organisation’s expansion as we look to grow and improve our internal infrastructure, processes and capabilities to maintain our momentum and set us up well for the future.”
Esports Insider says: It’s clear that Rousseau is experienced in this role and Excel Esports is gearing up to position itself in a strong manner both inside and outside of the United Kingdom so this makes sense. The hire seems like a great move all round.
